Naomi's Circle

Welcome to Naomi's Circle!

Who are we?

Naomi's Circle is a gathering place for parents of babies in heaven, and for the professionals, friends, and family who want to know how to help them.

Geography-wise, we are focused on the greater Midlands area of Columbia, South Carolina (especially Richland and Lexington Counties), but anyone is welcome here, regardless of where you live.

Audience-wise, we are focused on parents who have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy (including the loss of embryos created through IVF) or within the first year after giving birth, but anyone who wants to learn more about pregnancy loss is welcome here.

Faith-wise, we are founded on the belief in Jesus as the Savior and Messiah of the world.  We long to share with others the comfort we have found in Him, but anyone is welcome here, regardless of your faith journey, and most of the information here is applicable to anyone.

What can you find here?

Here at Naomi's Circle, we find encouragement from the Naomi of the Scriptures who, having lost her husband and children, walked a long road of grief and bitterness until she could see God's hand at work in her life, redeeming her loss and sorrow for His glory.  Along the way, she had the support of family and friends - which we want to be for each other as well.

On these pages, you can find:
  • Information about community support group meetings (some hospital-based and some faith-based) and other events to help parents in the greater Columbia area of South Carolina (we will add other areas as we become aware of them), as well as other local resources.
  • Forums where you can connect with other parents, primarily in South Carolina, but also in other parts of the US and the world (including separate forums for moms and dads).
  • Information for family and friends about how to help loved ones who are walking this road.
  • Memorials of our children.
  • Devotionals for parents grieving the loss of a baby.
  • Reviews of books and websites that you may find helpful.
  • Poems and personal stories by other parents reflecting on their children in heaven.
